Music on the way from front man of One Direction
Fans of One Direction are in a bit of a bitter sweet limbo at the moment, and no one can empathize more than us (we still have emotional scars from when Geri left the Spice Girls). Whilst it’s terrible that the mega successful worldwide phenomenon has disbanded (For Now) – at least they are keeping themselves busy and working on projects!
Most recently there have been talks that Harry Styles is the latest member of One Direction to have signed a record deal, and apparently it’s with Columbia records!
This is a huge move for the star as Columbia have nurtured talents such as Adele, Destiny’s Child, Ella Henderson and John Legend. So a Harry Styles revolution is on the way people! I mean, he is already starring in World War 2 influenced movie “Dunkirk” (due for release in 2017) – Is this to coincide with his music perhaps? Watch this space.
This report comes from ‘Billboard’ and although there is no comment from Columbia, we think they’d be pretty blind to miss out on a money spinner like Styles! However, this has yet again sparked rumors of Harry leaving his 1D days behind him and quitting the band for good; this follows speculation from February, when Harry left ‘Modest!‘ management (The same team who manage One Direction).
This left fans everywhere distressed, and even encouraged the hashtag “#1DStayWithUs”
Personally, we’d love to see a Harry solo album, Let’s not forget, he had a crack at songwriting for Ariana Grande with the heartfelt ballad “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart” and it was very mature (Check out our review here).
Also, Zayn had a crack at it and it’s doing impeccably well! It contains a few decent tracks too, but what do you think? Let us know in the comment section if you’d prefer 5 solo albums from the boys or another group album.
