TV Exclusives: The round-up!

I’m a Celeb, Bake-Off and Strictly shake up!

Well the world of Television has had a shake up as of late hasn’t it? You’d have to be living under a rock if you hadn’t heard of the ‘Bake Off‘ drama or Len’s departure from Strictly… but in case you found that rock extra comfortable, here’s the most recent updates on your well loved shows!

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

First on the list is the spin off show to the ‘celebrity jungle’. The show previously known as ‘I’m a Celebrity, get me out of here NOW!’ has had a huge revamp and is now entitled ‘I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp‘ this shake up has seen the likes of 2 previous presenters canned (David Morgan and Laura Whitmore) and presents an array of jungle winners opening the show, in the form of Vicky Pattison, Stacey Solomon and current presenter Joe Swash. This team of jungle winners are also joined by Geordie comedian Chris Ramsay who is sure to bring the laughs with his satirical humour.

Solomon and Pattison come fresh from ‘Loose Women‘ and will bring a modern edge to the show. This shake up follows the reinvention of ‘The Xtra Factor‘ with new presenters Rylan Clark Neal and Matt Edmunson bringing laughs in the new live format. We can’t wait to see the new show!

The Great British Bake Off

Next up is the fantastically British phenomenon which is the ‘Great British Bake Off’. There’s nothing to hate about this show, from the current and hilarious narrators to the upstanding and renowned judges. This is a show that has taken over in the UK thanks to the ‘soggy bottoms’. However, recently it was announced that the hugely popular show is going to move to Channel 4, leaving viewers distraught at the thought of a shake up, destroying everything they loved about the show in the first place… including ad breaks.

This move has already taken away some of the fundamental factors. Presenters, Mel and Sue along with the iconic judge, Mary Berry are said to be leaving once the show channel hops. Mary Berry’s decision comes from her loyalty to the BBC and how grateful she is to them nurturing her and looking after her throughout the show.

However, for hardcore Bake off fans, all is not lost! Paul Hollywood has revealed that he is in fact sticking with the show and tweeted how much he will ‘miss Mary’

What are your thoughts on the whole debacle? Are you going to stick with the show once is moves to channel 4? Let us know in the comments!

Strictly Come Dancing

Last but not least… Strictly!

the 2016 series of the show is about to take place and it was reported earlier this year that head judge Len Goodman has decided not to return to the show, once this series had finished. This leaves one spare seat on the panel… but who will take it?

We have previously seen the likes of Arlene Phillips have the seat before being replaced with younger model Alesha Dixon, who won her respective series and saw her boost her career dramatically! However, as we all know, Simon Cowell poached Alesha because ‘he wanted to’ seeing her replaced by professional dancer Darcey Bussell.

2016 line up including Anastasia, Laura Whitmore, Will Young and Judge Rinder.
2006 Winners: Karen and Mark

But the latest rumor has it that professional dancer ‘Karen Hardy’ will be taking Len’s seat on the panel. “Who?” you may ask… Karen Hardy is a veteran dancer of the show taking the likes of Mark Ramprakash to the top spot in 2006 and taking home the glitter-ball trophy. This sees her come head to head with Anton Du Beke, who is the bookies favorite to take over Len’s role, and it could see a judging panel of 2 males and 2 females for the first time in the shows history!

Who would you like to see take the seat on the judging panel? AntonKaren or maybe someone completely different? Let us know in the comments!
